Bruce Rocks Melbourne
After Seing Bruce on his solo tour in Melbourne it was apparent that he was a force not to be reckonded with. This time there was no Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley or John Corabi to carry the load, he came out with all guns blazing and proved what the word "talent" really stood for.
Whilst the weather went from hot and sunny to raining and hail storms, the venue was packed and by the time Bruce came on you could not fit another person through the door. He ignited the room with his playing and the vocals were dead on to the Audiodog cd. Although most people had never heard the solo album songs before they could not help but be impressed and heads were shakin' to the sounds of songs like Need Me, and everyone was huming along to that infectious melody of Pair Of Dice.
It seems Bruce chose wisely when he picked "The Stand" for his backing band as they delivered the goods and they seemed to be nice guys as well. There were a few strange requests during the night such as "Stanley The Parot", but the setlist for the night which lasted for 90 minutes was as follows.
Crazy Nights
Lick It Up
Strange To Me
Jungle
Hide Your Heart
Domino
Need Me
Tough Love
Tears Are Falling
Pair Of Dice
I Still Love You
Change Is Coming
Tell Me
Heavens On Fire
I Walk Alone
Shout It Out Loud
Many thanks to Bruce for coming downunder to play for us, and also to The Stand for doing an amazing job, I'm sure all who attended would agree.
