REVIEWS: Bruce Kulick Live In Concert In Australia
From: Michael Tarsilli
To all the Bruce Kulick Fans who couldn't be at B.K's first solo gig last night , here is what you missed out on...

After the usual " Kiss Party, Karaoke and Kiss Quiz " junk was out of the way it was time to get down to business.Bruce was what we all wanted to see....

After a short warm up by The Stand , which were quite impressive , The " Bruce , Bruce , Bruce " chant was in full swing..

Bruce soon appeared with bandanna and Kool dark shades..The set list was as follows:

Crazy Crazy Nights
Lick it up.
Strange To Me.
Hide Your Heart.
Need Me.
Tough Love.
Tears are Falling.
Pair of Dice.
I Still Love You.
Change is Coming.
Master and Slave.
Heavens on fire.
I Walk Alone.
Shout it out Loud

Bruce sang on all his tracks from AudioDog and also on I Walk Alone..The singer from The Stand sang the rest of the songs except Domino which was sung by the Bass player ( Ex Dynasty cover bands ACE...)

Bruce chatted with the fans in between songs and whilst tuning...A few Comments were made about Melbournes Schizophrenic weather and how it could go from 40 degreesC. to Hail in 5 minutes ! .Thats Melbourne for you !!!

After Tears are Falling Bruce explained that the backwardhand guitar playing , which is featured in the Tears video clip , was not actually real ( No Kidding!! ) , after a fan asked why he did not play it . He then demonstrated what it would have sounded like had he played it like that..

As for the sound the band was very tight musically..The drummer could have easily been mistaken for Eric Singer , playing wise..The lead singer was fantastic and really shone in I Still Love You , even Bruce was impressed!!! The second guitar player had all the Paul Stanley Moves and Manurisms and seemed to be really enjoying himself...It appeared as if it was a dream come true for the guys in The Stand , and they loved every minute of it as did the crowd...Naturally all the Kiss era songs got the most response from fans....Take nothing away from Bruces performance of AudioDog Songs , They were Spot On !!!!, note for note , unfortunately not many people knew them , but those that did Appreciated the Quality .....

After the show Bruce took a break and later came out to sign stuff , take photos , answer questions and thank those who stayed around.....It wasn't very organized , just a big crowd of people huddled around a table...Of course there were people who totally abused this by giving Bruce a big stack of C.D. covers, video covers , posters , L.P's and other stuff...By the time i met him there weren't too many people left..Bruce looked pretty tired , almost asleep but give the man credit , he stayed around for maybe over 2 hours to meet the fans , and i doubt anyone left dissapointed , or without an autograph or 15 !!!

Not too many people look after there fans like that !!!!

I can say to all those Bruce Fans out there that BK still has the goods...!!!!
